About
I am Charie, a third-year architecture student at the University of Nottingham. WYRA Visuals is the studio I founded to do one thing properly. Photograph spaces the way an architect reads them.
Most photographers learn to compose first, then turn to buildings. I started the other way around. Architectural training shapes how I see a room before I lift the camera. I notice the threshold detail the architect cared about. I know why a window sits where it sits. I shoot what holds the space together and leave the rest out.
The work is influenced by Junichiro Tanizaki's In Praise of Shadows. Restraint over addition. Shadow over fill. Atmosphere over information. The result is photography that respects the design rather than overriding it.
Approach
Every shoot begins with reading the space. Plans if the architect can share them, a walkthrough if not. The brief is to understand the design intent before composing a single frame.
Every shoot ends with a tight set of images, not a flood. Fewer photographs, each one chosen. This is how architects publish their own work and how WYRA Visuals delivers it.

The most-booked package. A full day on site with up to three spaces covered. Optional twilight session for atmosphere. Best for boutique hotels, mid-size interior projects and architecture practices documenting completed work.
